Our Village
Our Village Teachers
At Village Tree Preschool, our teachers, affectionately known as “Aunties and Uncles,” are the foundation of our program. With a blend of extensive experience and innovative ideas, our teachers are dedicated to seeing each child and their family thrive within our community.
Passionate and Diverse:
Our diverse group of Aunties and Uncles brings balance, stability, consistency, and a genuine love for each child at Village Tree. Their passion for teaching is evident, as our children eagerly come to school each day to explore subjects like math science, music, art, Spanish, and enjoy free play. Some of our staff also have backgrounds in nursing, music, art, and yoga, adding a rich variety of experience to our program.
Qualified and Committed:
We are proud of our teachers’ educational backgrounds, which include master’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and certifications in Early Childhood Development. All staff members have fulfilled the required CPR credentials and FBI screenings, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.
Dedicated Educators:
Our early childhood educators are devoted to our child’s growth and the Village Tree philosophy, making a lasting impact on their educational journey and overall development.
Our Village Program

Our students range from 2 months to 6 years (potty training is not required). Children who are 18 months to 3 years old that are not potty trained are enrolled in our Jr. Preschool program where they are potty trained and socialized. They are then eligible to move into our Preschool program where we offer emerging Spanish curriculum. We maintain a low student to teacher ratio. We provide 2 to 3 healthy organic snacks daily. Children bring their own bag or thermos lunch.
How We Learn in Our Village
For over 20 years, our play-based learning program has offered a dynamic and effective approach to preschool education. By weaving play into daily learning, we help children develop key skills while enjoying their early educational experiences.
Nurtures Creativity:
Play-based learning inspires imagination, allowing children to explore new ideas, create stories, solve problems, and express themselves in a supportive environment—essential elements in our schools.
Develops Social Skills:
Through play, children naturally learn cooperation, communication, and empathy. They practice sharing, taking turns, and working together—building strong social foundations for their future.
Boosts Cognitive Development:
Hands-on activities engage children in problem-solving and critical thinking. Whether they’re building, sorting, or role-playing, they learn by doing, deepening their understanding of the world.
Enhances Emotional Resilience:
Play gives children a safe space to express emotions, manage stress, and build confidence. At Village Tree, we help them learn to navigate challenges and build resilience.
At Village Tree, we celebrate the fact that all children are unique and development is on an individual basis. Our program takes that individual development component into account.
